Early Childhood Learning

The Custer YMCA offers childcare services for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years, in addition to our Kidstop afterschool program. The Kidstop afterschool program develops learning activities, fosters growth and facilitates adventure and fun for children aged Kindergarten – 5th grade. Does my Custer YMCA membership allow me access to the downtown Rapid City YMCA?

Custer YMCA members have access to the Rapid City YMCA four visits per month.

Do you offer free trials to see if I like the YMCA facility?

Yes, we have one-week trials available for those interested in joining the Custer Y.

Can we rent the Custer Y building for events (meetings, parties etc.)?
Yes, we rent the building for events ranging from wedding receptions to celebrations of life. We have a variety of birthday party packages available. Please contact our branch director Rex at rex@rcymca.org regarding rental options.

Does the Custer Y participate in the Nationwide Membership?
Yes, if you are a current YMCA member who can be verified by the National Y Database, we will honor your visit with a photo I.D.

Do you have pickleball?

Yes! We have an indoor court, and schedule classes 4-5 times per week. Check out our Fitness Schedule above for exact times.
