Roger & Eileen Gallimore Endowment Fund

Make a gift today to change lives forever.

Dear YMCA Supporters,

Roger Gallimore began his YMCA career in 1976 while attending college. Since then, he has served as Youth Outreach Director, 4 years as Senior Program Director, and has served as Executive Director since 1992. Driven by methodical strategic planning, staff capacity building, and a keen eye on meeting emerging community needs, particularly for youth and teens from disadvantaged backgrounds, the YMCA has grown seven-fold under Roger's tenure as Executive Director.

As you may know, Roger will be retiring from his position of Executive Director and CEO, effective May 1, 2021. We would like to honor Roger and his wife Eileen by creating the Roger & Eileen Gallimore Endowment Fund to benefit the youth in Rapid City for years to come. Following his commitment to our Rapid City community, we would like to solidify his legacy of selfless service to others and his belief in the power of changing lives by creating this fund to create a perpetual source of funding for the Y Kids Campaign.

The Y Kids Campaign was created by Roger to ensure that resources were available to provide children from low-income families the opportunity to experience Y programs like youth sports, summer day camp and afterschool programs through sponsored annual Y memberships.

The YMCA of Rapid City is committed to its mission of building a healthy spirit, mind and body for all. With the generosity of our members, and the commitment of Roger & Eileen Gallimore in particular, our community continues to improve through the impact of our programs that literally change lives!

Please consider joining us in celebrating and recognizing Roger & Eileen’s dedication to our community by supporting the Roger & Eileen Gallimore Endowment Fund for the YMCA of Rapid City. Our goal for this fund is to provide scholarships and change children’s lives in our Rapid City community forever.

Sincerely,

Pauline Sumption, President, YMCA Board of Directors

Chris Kilpatrick, Past President, YMCA Board of Directors
