More than 30 years ago, Roger Gallimore began his career at the YMCA of Rapid City. In his early years, he began his work with children as a sports director and outreach director - enjoying the difference that he helped to make in many young lives. In 1992 Roger became the YMCA's eighth executive director. Under Roger's leadership the YMCA has grown to the current building on Kansas City Street with many programs that reach more than 24,000 members of the Rapid City community each year. YMCA Child Care offers quality programs to help individuals grow perspnally, learn values, improve personal and family relationships, appreciate diversity, become bettter leaders, and have fun.

The aquatics center features a warm water pool, 8 lane lap pool and 4 lane pool. Programs include swim lessons, arthritis relief classes, water exercise, family swim, open/lap swim, lifeguard training and special needs swim.
